Cook on Purpose
Hi, I’m Dan. I grew up thinking cooking was just reheating a can of ravioli, and my first real motivation to cook came from wanting to impress my girlfriend (now wife — so I must’ve done something right). At first, I followed recipes rigidly and wasn’t satisfied with the results, but over time I learned to experiment, understand techniques, and trust my instincts. Now, instead of following instructions on the back of a box, I cook on purpose, using the right techniques and ingredients to bring the dish I want to life — and I want to share that approach with you here.
